Lambda sensor

Just took old lambda sensor out of car(92 turbo) to put a new one in! Prob is that the new sensor wont screw in!The threds on old sensor look f**ked so im thinking threds on down pipe are f**d 2!! Any ideas on what to do next??

two things are poss here
1. run a chaser through the boss to clean the thread
2. have a new boss welded

my mistake forgot its a turbo..
using a tap may cut a new thread therefore a chaser would be more suited to clean the original threads up..

Got a friend of mine to clean the threds up for me and everythings sorted!
She's holding full boost lovely now,im so happy!!!Thats one more job off the list
