Batt and brake light comin on?? C20LET

When my cav t revs to around 3k revs the batt and the brake symbol on the dahs come on brake symbol looks likt (( ! )) its to the left of the parking
(( P )) one.

checked the handbook and there is actually summat mentioned about it, anyone came across it or knwo what it might be??

with check control and in countries where a brake system check is required by law: if this indicator lights up interrupt your journey and consult a vauxhall dealer. as a functional check it lights uo together with the alternator control indicator "

tis only a new alternator, is there a voltage regulator or summat on the electrical sys or what?

i just find it funny that its listed in the handbook as a fault

just have the wee standard volt gauge right nuff, must go see if its readin constant when i rev it?

would that give indication?

ok took it to my mates,

diagnostics show nothing

battery is sound

when light comes on it drops to 12v

but why the brake sys light????

yeah cos we checked and tried extra grounds on alternator, and gearbox earths etc and they all seem grand, gonna get the alt tested on monday!!!
