Wire location question
Still trying to sort out my misfire so have been working through my earth points to see if I can find anything.
Found 2 cables bolted to the right side of the fuel rail (facing the car) that were only hand tight and could be moved about really easily.
When I went to tighten the 10mm bolt it sheared off.
Being on my lunch break at work had no option of reverse tapping the snapped bolt so had to move the cables to here to get the car started:
Firstly is there any problem in leaving them here?
Also exactly what are these cables? I’m assuming their earth cables for something?
Thanks
James

I always thought it was code 31 that sometimes shows if the engine isn't running (although saying that I've never had it on either my XE or LET).
I've had a fault code 19 problem for the last couple of weeks and found that my crank sensor had completely rotten through so thought great, ill swap it out and will be sorted.
Problem was after changing the crank sensor and clearing all codes (so the light would flash out only 12) the misfire had reduced a bit but was still there, and code 19 came back within about 15 mins.
Since moving those 2 earth cables so their properly secured I've had 3 full days of faultless driving with no more code 19.
Must be linked in someway (or a very big coincidence?)
