by TommyTT » Sun Nov 09, 2008 3:32 pm

hello newbie here.
I have just done the paper clip test and it came up with code 0340 this in a low voltage map sensor issue.
Could someone pls tell me how to fix this issue pls?
Thanks in advance Tommy

the cam sensors are a pain as they come under various part numbers and if the wiring loom has been modified then its more expensive to replace , vauxhall quoted us £63 for just the sensor and autovaux do the wiring loom and sensor for £38

before you cahnge the sensor, check the connection and clean it up... sometimes saves a few quid...

been flicking through e-bay plenty of cam shaft sensors on there. Not sure if there's any new ones though.

personally ive been told before to get a cam sensor from genuine vauxhall specialists as the ebay ones could be ok /might not be ok as these are mainly from china.
