one bump too far
Re: one bump too far
I don't hit pot holes I drive around them as wheels won't like it.

Re: one bump too far
You can go for a taller profile on the wheels you have which would save you some money.
If you go 205/45/17 it well be within 0.16% of the standard wheels, also check the pressure.

Re: one bump too far
Never had any probs when I had her. Hitting large potholes wont help seeing as your on 215/40/17. If you've got the spare cash go for the full Gmax setup same as Robbie and Neil, I only fitted Gmax springs (so me bad). As for the ABS might have dislodged something when you hit the pothole.

I run 34 alround on my 18's and it seems to drive ok, if you are going to change the shocks I'd use Koni's or go for a coilover kit that way you can set the car up as you want it. Toby's just got a set of coilovers for his Cosra

Re: one bump too far
I have GMAX on mine, lowered 40mm and yep the roads in Luton are killing me as well, drive around one pothole and hit a bigger one

Re: one bump too far
Hi, I've read your posts & I must say I'm using Bilstein shocks with Eibach Springs (35mm) & the set up is really good. When driving on standard 15" or 16" wheels very smooth & same comfort as factory suspension setup. The change came when I fitted 17" BBS's, it's still smooth on a good road but driving over pot holes feels a bit rougher
so probably just avoid potholes
