have you checked if the ignition light is coming on yet??

battery not charged enough, if i put the battery in and turn the key it goes nuts as its not charged enough.

is there any way of testing it to c if its not the alty at fault?

i just wanna cover all the possibilities as they aint cheep!

If you can get the engine started you can just see what voltage you are getting from the gauge below the stereo head unit - if alternator is working it should be reading around 14V, if not working then it will not be higher than 12V.

If it ends up being that which has gone have a look online at recon'd ones, I had to replace mine a while back and found one on eBay for £65.
