Attempted to fit it today...bad start when i discovered i didn't have a 22mm socket, trip to Halfords, 22mm socket, back home.....undo nut, and steering wheel wont budge a single mm, so back to Halfords to buy a puller...got home, puller is totally useless, wont grip onto anything...so car still in bits, and me effed off!

No idea what to do next really.

Take nut completely off and with all your might wiggle it jiggle it! yank it crank it, press it in pull it out and it should free with brute force im twelve stone and managed it with my shoulders nearly out of socket.

Just brute force is the key.

Undo the nut and leave it on with a few threads, You don't want the steering wheel to smack you in the face.

Just done this job. Got my wheel free with a small squirt of WD40 around the spindle, a few sharp hard knocks around the centre spndle using a suitable drift, lost of side to side & top to bottom wiggling/pulling. If that doesn't work try bracing both knees behind the wheel between the rim and the dash. Then use a soft drift and a hammer to hit the centre of the column....1 or 2 hard solid blows.

As said before, don't take the nut off fully otherwise you'll be in pain.....
