sunroof motor

hi decided to try and fix my sunroof found motor in boot when i got car assumed its for mine got two cogs only one moves is this correct.the only one i can find for sale only has one cog but bloke says fits all calibras so one of thems wrong cheers for any help. :?:

no there are two types, the early cars had single cog sunroofs & the later models twin coggs, how old is your car?

hi mines a 95 16v ecotec don,t want to just fit if its broke incase i knacker sunroof.

it will be a twin cogg then, depends how confident you are in doing it I suppose, if it were me I'd get a whole sunroof from a breakers and just swap them over

got headlining all off but when i connect motor only one cog spins how do test if it does what its supposed to when i operate switch.

Bit late tris lol,

but for info, when you push the button only 1 does move iirc, and when you push the button for the "fully open" both cogs move.
