According to an old Trade Club book (2003!) I have the part no for the rear disc/drum is 90442651 for both Turbo and V6 and this is still the number listed today on online Trade Club. Retail is an eye watering £107 plus VAT.

Seems to, the front discs are 90442513 for both Turbo and V6 any age. The callipers and hence pads are different on pre and post 96 cars.

Just had a thought, these numbers I quote are for a pair. A single disc will have a different number.

damn guys....
1) front brakes where 284mm diameter (other dimensions differ also) until ~95. afterwards 288mm - the same were used on vectra b.
2) rear brakes differ also. their depth differs in center (sorry - my english sucks sometimes) - they changed aswell in that ~95. the depth - hub goes "into" brake disc differs. earlier ones go deeper.

you can use 280mm rear brake discs from omega b, but you need brake calipers also and brake pads too. brake caliper from omega was used 2x40mm (Calibra ones are 2x33mm or 2x35mm)

p.s. I used to have "old" brakes - changed front to 288, rear to 280mm. as I was changing also wheel bearings it wasnt problem. front hub needed less diameter. rear hub needs to be put deeper into bearing. i put it there on about 8 or 9mm (I used brembo catalogue for dimensions and calculated difference).

Does the use by GM of one part number for all years front discs mean the larger disc can be used with the 'smaller' disc's callipers?

calipers are different. 284mm discs have 54mm piston calipers, 288mm discs have 57mm piston calipers. and brake pads also are different. what can or cannot be swaped - I don't know.

The top picture from a box is the part number for a pair, the number stamped on the disc must be the number of a single disc.
