I thought the se6s were 8 valves and there are lots of combinations with the 16v engines....
Re: Iceland Blue
SE6 is an 8v 2.0lt engine in Iceland blue only.

The SE6 was the only car I know that came in Icelandic Blue, they are all C20NE engine (the 8V) ....Mine has had the C20XE fitted (the 16V) and if you want a V6 one you will have to change the engine and gear box and the ECU with the loom
You wont get the traction control to work (not with a lot of work changing the car loom) ...its not that hard to do though
Re: Iceland Blue
can much be done with the 8v engines? I wouldn't be after anything daft but would like 150 bhp ish?

Am I right in saying they're the C20let engines that they had inthe Cavalier GSI 2000's?

So guess the question is, which is easier respraying a V6 as thats what Id realy like or cpnverting an SE6 to a V6?

Re: Iceland Blue
puting a v6 into a se6 would take a day or 2 a full good respray will take a lot longer and cost 4 times as much

Re: Iceland Blue
So in idiots terms as I've very little experience with mechanics what would I need for a V6 conversion from a 2.0 litre 8 valve. What on top of an engine, gearbox, and loom?

Re: Iceland Blue
the best way would be to buy a donner car (mot fail) then you will have all the bits there is no fab work to do everthing will just bolt off bolt on

the only fab work Steve would be the stabilizer bar on the driver side strut top, the same as what you did to Jamesyboys ecotec

BETTER TO HAVE A CALIBRA AND NOT NEED ONE, THAN NEED A CALIBRA AND NOT HAVE ONE!!!

Re: Iceland Blue
Sounds interesting, I supose if I got a donor car I'd also have plenty of other spares. I presume the brakes were beefier on the V6's? Would it not be worth sticking with the original engine in the SE6 and tuning it a bit?
