I have just called Ian Coomber about this and he has assured me this is the deal

NO ONE will be turned away if they have not pre booked

The rates still apply as detailed in this post IE: £15 per night Friday Saturday per unit ..A unit being a tent, caravan, and trailer tent with 4 people

what is happening is the number you call is a call centre in the Isle of Man and not the actual office at Billing, obviously some people at the call centre have read the memo and some have not, but rest assured if you do arrive at Billing Friday or Saturday (or before) you WILL get the discount rate

Anyone that has not received the discount rate please forward the booking number to me so I can send it off to Ian to sort it out for them

When I phoned the bloke said all the girls were busy, took my name and number and said they would ring me back. Im still waiting!!! If I have to pay full price then I am not going!

the full price is an extra £10 for the two nights, and if anyone has been over charged they will be getting a refund

Ian just got back to me, he has been in contact with the Director for Billing. They are full of apologises and say its only been one person that got the wrong information.

So no need to panic ...you will get in, and get the discount rate at the gate...I would recommend though that you have your current membership card for the club, and if anyone going has not got one let me know ASAP

I was at the VBOA meeting when this came up and we where told you can pay on the gate and get the discount.

Thank you for your email regarding the VBOA show at Billing Aquadrome.

I am sorry to hear of the trouble that the club member experienced when trying to book for the VBOA show. I believe it was just human error and the person who made the booking has been misunderstood the agreed terms of bookings for the VBOA show. However please accept our apologies for the confusion and any inconvenience this may have caused.

I can assure you that all the bookings staff are aware that club members can still receive the VBOA discount when they pre book and also upon arrival at the park.

If you can confirm to me the details of the customer I can double check that the overcharged amount has been refunded.
