Re: MOT
Just had a call from the garage it failed on emissions and a side light, which i thought was okay, but mechanic is gonna take it back after doing some work on trying to get the emissions down running rich he said, so he gonna clean the injectors, disconnect the 02 sensor and take it back at 2.30 so fingers crossed, as for the side light well that's just one of the angels has gone so might put the proper sidelights back on.
Just hope that it passes 2nd time cant afford to have the injectors or the ecu replaced unless anyone knows how to get the right mixture??

Re: MOT
right just picked it up, it failed on emissions again was 0.04 outside which is a bummer, so he's getting a new lambda for it tomoz and letting me pay next week, which i thought was brill seeing as its the first time i used him, so cost with MOT, labour and part £168.50 which is pretty good i'd say for a 15yr old motor.

Re: MOT
Snap again, mine failed on emissions but only just reckons it will pass with a run too or an aditive put in.
Also failed handbrake one side not working at all and he picked up a bulge in my tyre that i didnt know about.
So had the tyre replaced and retest is now weds after I have had a go at the handbrake
As far as I know you can't ajust the emissions it's all ECU controlled
Good luck with yours

Re: MOT
Where your angel eyes aftermarket..seprate neon rings or full unit?..if its the rine type a new inverter off ebay will be around £3 to £5. Its not bad depending on the cost of the Lambda?..i'd have probably done the same..some would say do the work yourself...however if he's going to do the test again..and should be another full one?..that would be £30 to £40..if you had done the repairs yourself anyway?

Re: MOT
@lammy they are the rings m8, the mechanic checked the inverter works power going in but nothing coming out to power the rings, the restest aint costing me anything either and they only check the things it failed on to make sure the work has been done.
@wills, according to the garage it all points to the lambda so am hoping it is just that m8 and not the ecu, coz got no idea how much a new one would cost and if it would be worth it too.
