the front is an insert, so it its leaking and the mot centre spotted it....it must be well knacked for it to show ...the rears are just a a shock ...they would be easy to spot if leaking

and your car must handle like a jelly if you have uprated springs with standard shocks ...can get a full Apex kits for abour £250

i think i will eventually change to the billys and use the g-max springs. wont be just now though :(
i suppose over a knackered standard set up the g-max is better but after driving a car with billys fitted i have to admit they are far superior to the g-max shocks :alright:

okay guys well after seeing frazs post i think i will be going for bilsteins and maybe use my spax springs.depends on whether the car fails on the shocks before i decide.

yeah im sure i wont steve , i personally dont think anything is leaking but handling is great at front of the car and the rear feels like a bit of bodyroll at times..

its more than likely that you shocks are original so will be years old, have the donut bush's been done as they will give a funny feeling if they are fubard

well all i know was when the springs were replaced the driveshaft still had the old type of dust covers on the metal ones , my mate who used to be a vauxhall fitter said normally if there not on there then it would all be the original stuff.

and he said mine looked untouched

i still have the covers on mine and they have been off more times than iv had hot dinners i would change them even if it psses with them on its not a hard job should be able to do all 4 corners in a morning or less, have you done the donut bush's ? you could drive up here and ill do them for you its only a few hours drive :D

if your replacing the shocks baz you might aswell go the full monty and do your arms rod ends etc at the same time :D
or atlest your rod arms as you need to get the tracking done either way

yeah the arms are fine , but the arb links will need replacing as one was a advisory from last years mot
