standard ride height of the calibra
standard ride height of the calibra
hi people,
recently i have fitted some 30mm lowering spring to the DTM as im not paying the £400 odd for the irmscher springs,
BUT.......
i have issues now with the fact that on uneven roads the wheels meet the wing on the front and bottom out on the rear
if you could measure from the centre of the alloy (badge in middle) to the edge of the wing on all 4 corners so that i can see what the height is supposed to be i would be greatful.
if you have lowered the car and know the drop please also put this in your post.
mine is as follows:
FR pas: 320mm
FR dri: 320mm
RE pas: 340mm
RE dri: 330mm
Drop supposed to be 30mm (on new springs)
Thanks
Steve

Have you fitted shorter/harder shocks?

Re: standard ride height of the calibra
no just the springs, as the other springs that were on were standard cally springs, and it sat even and drove fine

Re: standard ride height of the calibra
DTM's came with lowerd springs as standard so if youv put on 30mm drop it should just be where it was before, if it was the irmscher springs that were on it

Re: standard ride height of the calibra
this is what im trying to get at.
the previous owner(s) must have had problems with the springs and changed them for just standard cally springs all round, so now i have fitted 30mm springs on it seems far too low

Re: standard ride height of the calibra
DTM had a 25mm drop though not 30mm
Re: standard ride height of the calibra
too true fraz but was not willing to pay £400+ for the irmscher springs, so went for the next best option of 30mm

Re: standard ride height of the calibra
the shocks were fine before on other springs, and visually checked them when replacing the springs and did not see anything, been for MOT and they passed with no advisories.

Re: standard ride height of the calibra
Are you not meant to have shorter/stiffer shocks to match lowered springs?
I.E. what you get in a full kit?

Re: standard ride height of the calibra
