Opel Calibra Last Edition Nr.0462 * 400+ hp
Re: Opel Calibra Last Edition Nr.0462 * now with Turbo
Pulleys and cambelt fitted
Engine is ready for put in
And is put in. Time for intake.
Main requirement before building the intake was not to cut the front bumper. Result is shown below
Finally, all parts are fitted, all plugs are plugged in, and it works
After 1.5k oil will be changed and we'll see final reasult of our conversion

So, some more bits done for the Cali
Approx 1.5k gone since the engine upgrade. Time for the first oil change. We've chosen 10W-60 oil.
Also, standard n/a 16V brakes were changed to later turbo ones.
Old front 256mm brake disc
New 288mm brake disc
Feel the difference (c)
Rear discs were also a little bit upgraded
Old rear disc
New one
Fuel lines from the fuel tank till the engine were also changed to new
By the way rust prevention actions were implemented

Today Calibra has passed annual inspection (what you call MOT) without even any minor observation

Couple words about the interior.
Standard black leather interior is still on its place
Awful blue stickers from speedo were thrown away with the first opportunity. Now white 'plasmas' are there. But 'plasma' speedo also will be changed one day I believe...
Door sills were bought and fitted:
(still have no good pics of them, only taken by phone's camera)
Nice touch actually
Isotta gear knob as well as Omega wiper stalk with adjustable idle were fitted as well
Together with new engine DID was replaced by BC

Great pix Mr D!
A few questions about your front bumper:
Tell me , is that the original GM 'cliff' front bumper or the Lenk version?
How do you get access to the tow hook?
Is the lower air dam similar, smaller or larger size than standard?
Are the two secondary vents either side open or blocked off?
( Any chance of a close up photo of that area?)
Does it sit any lower than the standard bumper?
