another suggestion for south mini meet (basingstoke area)

Unfortunately the sun pub has been turned into a ala carte restaurant with hardly any bar menus and they definately arent £1.50 a meal now lol as robv has informed me that his mate who owned the pub has moved to another smaller pub with a small car park so i need some suggestions where we can have the future meets .

I will be looking over some and giving them calls to see if they would be happy to have us on there premises providing we all buy a drink and maybe food and dont cause a nuisance (i know none of us do that anyway especially from the longbridge mill that we were previously kicked off a few years ago because the landlord was a complete t**t lol.

So any suggestions around the basingstoke/andover/ area would be greatly appreciated and as long as they have a large carpark a place where we can get photos etc.

ive had a look at a few yesterday and one is in the swan at sherbourne st john just a few miles from the longbridge milll i think and it has a large carpark , i will see if i can call them up to see if they would be ok to have us.

As for the m4 andy im not sure of any pubs around that area tbh

Baz has sorted a place called the swan in Sherbourne St John which is just outside Basingstoke. From Google maps it looks ok and from what Baz told me earlier the landlord seemed very keen.
Baz will fill in the details later im sure.

ok guys ive spoken to the landlord of the swan pub down in sherborne st john just off basingstoke today and he wants me to pop down next weekend to speak to him about if this would be a ideal place and how can he accomadate us if we make this place a frequent monthly meet and hes very happy to let us reside at the pub he even said even though it can get busy on a sunday he can even reserve places inside for us and asked for numbers and i said it woulldnt be more than about 20 people etc unless things changes in the future.

he has 2 tier carpark with slight speedramps but as long as we dont have lamborghini we would be ok and the foods from bar snacks to lunches are most adaquate
