Finally got the head off .

by Rob-se9 » Sat Oct 23, 2010 7:36 pm

Hello guys and girls. Its been awhile since ive done anything to the calibra. So today with the help of a friend we both managed to take the heads off. I know the oil cooler is shot but as its a project i dont want to put it back together to find the head gaskets are shot aswell. It was a good job we took the heads off as the head gaskets basically crumbled as you picked them up :(

Heres some pictures of the days work

Gasket from the cylinder head from the front of the engine bay. The better of the 2.

Im going to rebuild the heads. Hopefully polished ported nothing too majoir because of my age at the moment. So i guess 3 litre cams, new spark plugs and ht leads, cold air feed, a new exhaust and a remapping session are out of the question lol

while you have all the inlets off, knife edge the inlet divider, and inlet ports, makes a bit off difference
