as title...just been to dealers but they only show the later 10mm type bolt for door check straps.i need the early cotter pin type for a 92.anyone help?

You dont have a picture do you, i remember replacing something on my SE in that area. A picture might jolt the old memory. Is it the bolt holding it onto the door frame?

only shows a bolt for the Calibra but as Tazz said the Cavailer shows a pin

cheers lads,i ordered an early model cav one,doesnt fit.i will check if it was same pt number as yours fraz.the problem is the holes in the a_ post bracket are smaller than the ten milly bolt type as on later cars.check strap is obviously different too.

my old h reg had a cotter pin in the door check instead of a bolt

So did my SE and it didn't have the nylon washer either which is why i remembered it as it was different to the SE2 which has the bolt and washer.
I ended up changing the check strap as the hole where the cotter pin went through started to go square causing the door to crack. The pin was still ok

mines a k reg aug 92.they have a tapered and convaluted roll pin affair.ill check frazs number against the ones ive bought.calibras had these 89 _92 but vauxhall dont remember lol.

Rob i dont have clicky doors,the pins are missings and the check straps need connecting
Fraz the 195523 pt number was the ones i ordered(cav ones) they are too wide and dont fit. i wonder if nova ones are similar ?
