I have the sealey timing kit for the v6 when you're ready to put it back together, and you're only up the road from me.

The head work has finally started

The only thing that should touch the head face is a skim tool or the head gasket. If the head must be placed face down then put it on a very soft surface, maybe your head would suffice....

I was just going by what I could see in the picture. You have explained that you weren't working on the slab and I have removed the comment.

I just don't like to see 'unsafe' working practises, or things that could cause possible further damage.

No problem mate As said the head was only placed for the photo, the boy wouldn't deream of doing anything stupid, especially as
its his job and with a lot bigger engines.
