Full lock knock 'n' score!

Hey all, I was going down an A-road today in my Cally T, when it felt like something came off (front drivers side) i felt it hit the underside of the car and off down the road. My car feels and seems fine except for when im on full lock right i get 2 or three knocks/bangs then a nasty scoring whitch sounds like metal on metal. I cant see anything out of place? Also I went back to where it happened and couldn't find anything that had come off in the road.
