Roof strips

How do you remove the exterior plastic roof strips without damaging them?

i have seen them come off two ways one is to prise it up and off the other is to slide them off

it was at the time though ....even you had a good laugh

you can slide them off to the front of the car, but need to raise the back part over the ridge that they clip into as you do it
