Vxlgsi, do you have the part number by chance for the seal you replaced on the gear selector? When I spoke to vauxhall about replacing mine to sort out the slack in mine they had no idea what I was on about. Loving the standard turbo by the way.

I dont sorry, took the guy about 20 seconds to find it on epc so i cant see why it was a problem, failing that it takes seconds to remove it from the car. you could literally pull up at vauxhall and remove it and walk in with the gearstick in yor hand and show them the bush!

So due to lack of free time ive shipped the cally off to a mate to get some work done.

I opted to trailer it over as the water pump sounded abit fecked so i thought its best not to risk a 40 min drive. I soon found id been quite lucky, My friend rang and said it was good I hadnt driven it as the cambelt was so loose id be lucky to get a mile down the road. He was quite shocked when i told him it took 2.5 hours to drive it home and i streached its legs afew times.

so i spent a little time tidying up the engine bay, bit of a clean here and there and a new header tank, not exactly inpressive but im happy with it as its no show car.

Would really like a battery jacket and a new washerbottle now though finding one wont be easy.

Cant get the awfull staining off the suspension turrets which is annoying!

Calibra has been uncovered for another summer, first job was to swap out the rear bushes, these are what i took out....

Nothing wrong with them at all so that was a waste of money oh well.

Then I went to fit my new CD300 to find id been screwed over by a guy on PNG and it doesnt work  so tape player is going back in once ive fitted a new radio signal amplifier.

Just need to find some wheel nut covers and drop the fuel tank as the sender is playing up anything over half a tank and it says its empty... mmm really looking forward to that! :(
