se5 you will not need to change ballasts.
Most car makers using stock xenon around 4300K. They are not so blue as any colder xenon and give more illuminability than any colder HID's (bigger K = colder HID).

They have arrived! Nice slim ballast. Have to chop the earth to fit but they work and the 6k's are stunning.

do you have the flat connector and round connector fault with the earth? i just pushed it together and it made a tight fit without cutting mine

I had to cut the earth as it's attached to the light housing. Other than that it's push fit
