Opinions on tyre size please!

Hi went along to put down a deposit on Astra Vxr wheels for the turbo, they are 8"x18 ET42 PCD 5-110, The guy reckons go for 235 35 18s,bloody expensive tyre size,I'd of thought 215 35 18,Says that size would look crap,any thought?

the vxr should have 225 35 18

I have 8x18 on mine and I think you may find that the 235 will rub on the wing.

Assuming you are on the standard tyre size now, which is 205/50-16, then the 225/35-18's will keep your speedo accurate as they are the same rolling radius.
