Re: Eddey's V6 Profile
It's very difficult, for us Guys here in Australia!
We don't have 10% as many options, as You Guys have over there!
It's Extremely Rare to even find a Calibra, in a Wrecking Yard here!
So that really makes replacement parts, almost impossible to aquire locally!
If there are any Parts available, the Price is usually about 10 times more than in the UK
The only parts that are readily available, are Basics like Spark Plugs, Oil and Fuel Filters!
Being that Parts are so easily available and also very cheap in the UK, You Guys over
there really should all be driving Calibra's in Absolute Immaculate Condition!

I do appreciate all the Comments!
But like I said in the Introduction...
I Basically kept the car Standard for 7 Years, as it was already in Very Good Condition!
That was until it was reversed into whilst parked, then struck from behind weeks later!
And so the 'MAKE OVER' was then actually forced upon Me...
When deciding on the Make Over, I wanted to 'UPGRADE THE LOOK' but at the same time,
I still wanted it to look like a Calibra... So I salvaged the V-Grille off the damaged Bumper!
As both Front & Rear Bumper Bars needed replacing, the 'BODY KIT' was the Obvious Option!
Spare Parts for these Cars in Australia, are Extremely Rare!!!
The Insurance Company shopped around for parts for two months, before they eventually
decided that Importing was pretty much the ONLY available option here! So that's the story!
We all know that the 'Calibra Front Bumpers' are so lacking, in terms of the rest of the car!
That's why Most People add extentions to them, but that's way too common for Me!
Plus being a V6 Owner, just look at the huge difference in the Air Intake to the Motor!
There's NO WAY the Standard Bumper looks or performs better, than the New One!

Some Minor Upgrades
That's Ok...
I've Uploaded them all again, for those people who love pics!
Not much progress to Report on lately, as I'm still awaiting on some Parts!
I recently received the New 'Rear Number Plate Lamp Covers' in the Post!
Due to My SMK Rear Bumper, I had to Modify the Covers, in order to get them on!
But they are looking so much better than the Yellowish Faded, Original Covers!
I also replaced the Standard Aerial, with the much smaller 'Bee Sting' type!
How even the Smallest of Improvements, can put a Smile on a Face!

The Spark Plugs
I'm almost finished with the Importing of Calibra Parts to Australia!
I've got some nice New 'NGK Iridium' Spark Plugs, heading all the way to Australia!
Now just finalising one 'Last Shipment' from the UK, and then I can really get some work done!
This will actually be the 'Most Comprehensive Service' ever done for this Car!
I was at Super Cheap Auto and their Quote for 6 Spark Plugs was $134.00
I Paid for the 6 NGK Iridium Spark Plugs, Plus Shipping to Australia $76.38
So it's a nice saving, for a change!

Fitted Some LED's
I recently fitted some LED's that I bought, a few months back!
I am Very Pleased with both the 'Looks and Performance' aspects of them!
I fitted the LED's in both Side Indicators, both Rear Number Plate Lamps,
in the Luggage Compartment and in both Map Reading Lamps! Unfortunately
I wasn't able to replace the Overhead Courtesy Lamp, as I didn't have the
correct size Globe, but that's now also going on My Shopping List!
There are so many various styles to choose from on ebay!
Just make sure that You Order the right size globes!
Rear Number Plate Globes: 38mm
Boot and Overhead Courtesy: 42mm
Map Reading Lights: Same as Parkers

Re: Eddey's V6 Profile
Looking good Eddy. I think it just needs a roof spoiler over the back window to give it the final touch (in my opinion)

Mate... I'm glad You like The Ghost!
The 'Roof Spoiler' has often crossed My mind, but it's not such a high priority right now!
Indeed it will be another nice Finishing Touch, as will the following items!

The 'Rear Number Plate Lamp Covers' also come with the Bulb Holders!
Which is Great, because My old 'Bulb Holders' used to leak water, and get fogged up!
I also suggest that You fit the 38mm LED's to keep the Covers from premature Fading!
Not only do the LED's last longer, they also give a better light without getting Hot!

I read something about removing the Trumpet, from inside the Air Filter Box!
Apparently this method assists with the 'Cooler Air Flow' but who knows!
So I took it out, and I will monitor the changes if there are any!
