Well I was driving back from Edinburgh tonight and the engine starts rattling and I stoped as it lost power!

Called AA they send the local garage guys they put the car on the truck and droped me off at harthill services then I had to wait another hour for the AA to take me home ...

So the car is fecked big ends have went so I'm told!

LOL, if its any consollation, atleast it wont be MAJOR money....you could even probably replace the engine for less money than a repair. This happened on my Skyline and the rebuild with upgrades ended up costing almost £14,000 as the turbo's decided to give up just 800 miles later!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

yep i have a spare engine but i prob be away in 2 months in oz! whoop whoop and no job atm till i go so i have f all £ and the other engine prob needs triped down to make sure its all ok as its been outside for a bit but been covered

could always go the 3.0 route lol hmmmm anyone wanna donate a 3.0 for £0 lol

do you know the history of the spare engine? possibly buy a service kit and timing belt kit and take the gamble and fit it? im sure there is people on here willing to help to do it possibly for the price of a few bacon sarnies and cuppas.

hi stevo , yep i know the history of the engine it was my old v6 from my green car and is a better engine as the top was all done before i took it out!

i would have to get it striped down and checked as its been outside for a while but coverd.

one thing i would do is the timing belt ket etc as its easyer to do when out the car lol but no funds to do it with atm!
