gordy get the sump off and see how bad bottom end is you may get away with a set of shells

take exhaust off remove sump and baffle plate if it has one find how many of the big end bearings have play remove big end cap inspect crank for damage if its not damage and doesnt need re polished replace all big end shells all explaned in a haynes manual or ask a certain V6STEVE he knows that engine far better than me or most people on here
