Thanks Mate...
I'm hoping that this 'Polished Manifold' will blind people, when I open the bonnet on a sunny day!
The Chrome Bonnet Struts are also on the Shopping List...

Did You have any work to do to get the Engine Cover back on, after the Cam Cover Upgrade?
Some Dude told me he wasn't able to put the cover back on, after he did his Cam covers!!!

Mate...
I intend on Trimming the Current Engine Cover!!!
Rear Cam Cover: Decent Clean, as it's barely visable...
Front Cam Cover: Nicely Polished Finish, as part of it will be visable...
From what I've seen done, with the V6 Guys on here...
I'm not at all a fan of the Coloured Cam covers, minus the Engine Cover!
I was even thinking of just replacing, only the rear Cam Cover!
I still might even go with that option, who knows???
How it's going to look, I won't really know till it's done!

let me Guess a Dude from Scotland????
and as i have said ...you can fit the engine cover on with the vectra cam covers...only problem is the oil filler aperture is now in the wrong location ...so you have 4 options
1. leave cover off
2. keep cover on with the aperture in wrong place ..means taking cover off to top up oil
3. Fill the hole in the cover (like Steve has) ..means taking cover off to top up oil
4. Fill original hole in cover and cut new one for the oil filler
Re: Eddey's V6 Profile
the cover wont fit if you have metal covers on unless you cut some of the fins so the oil cap fits as it sticks up to far for the cover to sit right down, if you look at my pic you can see just under the v6 badge where iv cut the fins, and as fraz says i need to take my cover off to top oil up and iv filled in the old gape

Do You have to 'Touch Up' that Polished Manifold often, to keep it Sparkling?
Did You try to modify the Oil Cap, in order for the Engine Cover to fit back on?
I have a few ideas in mind on how this might work, but the Oil Cap is certainly on the Modify List...

Re: Eddey's V6 Profile
I had a go at getting the Engine Cover on, after fitting the Metal Cam Cover...
I snipped a small tab, which enabled the Cap to sit in the Gap between the fins!
I've got some ideas on other ways of doing this...
I will try them out tomorrow...

Re: Eddey's V6 Profile
Hi Eddie,
Did you use the camcover gasket for the calibra V6 and was it a straight swap. I am asking because I just change not to long ago the gasket and spent several hours making sure it is all clean cover and heads and the bugger is still leaking after installing new gaskets front and back.
Also did you have any issues with leaking from the sun roof drain pipes, because that last big storm we had ended making my calibra a bath tub, I 've actually got the roof lining out at moment and I fixing it.
Also if you need a hand let me know, I also have a V6 calibra and live here in Parramatta, I do most of the mechanical work myself so I might be able to give you some pointers.
All the best Boris.

Mate...
I've still got the Calibra Cam Cover at the Back, and I did use a New Gasket when I fitted it back on...
I've only put the Vectra Cam Cover on the front for now, as I don't have New Vectra Gaskets as yet!
I'll drive it like that for a few weeks and monitor the Oil Leaking Situation, of both Cam Covers...
The Gaskets are NOT the same, but the Covers are a straight swap over... I've ordered a few sets of
Cam Covers from the UK, so I will be able to help You out with that problem, very soon...
I once had a flooded passenger side footwell, during heavy rain, but it never happened again...
NOTE: On that occasion, I was parked nose first on a pretty steep decline, so I think that was the cause!
I checked the Sunroof Drainage System recently, and everything was as clean as can possibly be...
I also did some Mechanical Work recently, as well as some Interior Work too...
It would be great if we could help each other out, as working alone is very time consuming and NOT easy either!!!
I know two other Local V6 Guys, so let's arrange a Sydney Calibra V6 meet up soon...
