Fuel line help

Hi, I've nearly got my engine all built up, I've come to put the fuel lines back on but I can't remember which way round they connect. Is there any one out there who knows?
As you look at the engine the 2 pipes come up the back of the engine bay then which 1's go where, does the top pipe goto the left or right of the fuel rail? It's a c20xe & unfortunately the pipes were cut off so I've put new ones on but there not the orriginal/correct ones

turn the car over the pipe that the fuel comes out of will be the flow it goes on to the rail and he return will go after the regulator

So in effect the fuel flow would be from left to right, looking at the engine?

right to left ...fuel reg is near the drivers side ...if standing looking in
