fuel leak Barry ?

Yep fuel leak. stopped at first services on M1 for breakfast and the smell of petrol was really strong and the fuel gauge needle had dropped dramatically in a short distance so decided not to risk it.
Called AA told them the tank was leaking waited an hour for Patrol guy to turn up and agree that the tank was leaking, then another hour for low loader and about two miles from my house driver had to stop for 45 min tacho break.

Not how i planned to spend my Saturday.......

thats me just in the door after 7 hours driving, both washed at the jet wash and in the drive.

Got home about 8am after chucking everything in the car and abandoning the tent. On a mission trying to dry everything out now.
