Location: Billing Aquadrome, nr Northampton
Description: ABANDONED- DO NOT COME AS SITE IS CLOSED.
The VBOA Billing Show has had to be abandoned. A storm on Friday evening has been followed by hours of torrential rain and the site is no longer viable. DO NOT COME as you will not be allowed in. Our apologies if you have alteady departed on the basis of our earlier advice.

Just spoke to john and it is indeed closed. As far as I know everyone from our club has already left, some gave had to abandon tents and equipment as 2am it was under 4 inches of water

More like a boat Show, to much water for some of the tents and were left as too much water had got into them. We had to get Rich up as he had slept though all the noise.

Its all washed out down here after an eventful night. Still here and just getting ready to take the tent down and then heax off. There is still 4 or 5 calibras here but all getting ready to head i think

Atleast everybody is ok! It's a bit gutting putting all that time and effort into getting your cars ready for it, travelling down from Scotland etc for it to be cancelled . I was really looking forward to coming up and taking pictures .

hi guys hope your all ok after the washout, we just slung eveything in boot and set off about 4.30am! we didnt get chance to have a beer or 2 with you all was realy looking forward to that. But thanks for making us feel welcome to our first proper outing as part of the club already looking forward to the next meet and maybee a bit of decent weather eh!! hope you all get home safe and see you all real soon i hope

Well were home about a hour ago and have a slightly soggy interior and blew my power steering pump up on way home but could have been so so much worse if the weather had come over the top of the banking for the river/ canals.

I'm still here as in caravan, the water level has dropped a bit but it's still spitting here, as said the site is up to 6 inches deep in places.
Such a shame as this was set to be a great show.

well we have lost castle Davies and most of its contents wish we where insured lol its was a great shame that the weather ruined the show and we never got time to have a beer with the guys,
I for one will be putting pen to paper and asking for a refund the owners of the campsite should have cancelled the show before they did there was no way that the stands where going to take the weather that was forecast, there was an amber severe weather warning for the weekend but they said the stands would be ok if we only got the weather that was forecast (there words)

home safely now trying to dry out but wouldn't you know it, its started to rain, at least the journey home was far drier than the one down on Tuesday.

It was okay last night - a few cars, a bit of chat.. nice. But this morning? Wow.. I got out of dodge around 11am and there was no one there. Such a shame
