Billing Aquadrome would like to share their sincere disappointment that the poor weather resulted in the cancellation of last weekend’s VBOA event. The difficult decision to cancel the event was decided by the event organisers not Billing Aquadrome.

To try to make the most of the weekend staff at Billing Aquadrome held a smaller version of the event on the Sunday of which many of you attended intent on not letting the bad weather dampen your spirits!

As a gesture of goodwill Billing Aquadrome are happy to offer all club members half price camping during the weekend 8th & 9th September. Please call our Bookings Line on 01524 781453 to make a reservation.


i for one will be taking this further, they where asked last sunday if the event should go ahead and they said yes and at that point the storm was forecast for the Friday night, they already knew how much rain had already fallen on the park in the last few weeks, they should have cancelled it last week. My 2 days has cost me about £1000 with fuel camping fees and loss of tent and camping gear and all they want to give is a half price weekend and when it suits them

hi steve i think your bang on mate! that seems just a slap in the face for everyone who went as yu know it was my first time there i so much enjoyed friday night with you all but deeply disapointed me and the other half didnt get to have a beer with you all sat night as planned. As for billing itself yes it looked a great place we managed to have a wonder fri night but after all what happened and comments i have read it is all about money there should be an automatic refund for eveyone without question as a good will gesture or free entry for next year to those that pre_booked that will at least seal the venue for them for next year

Indeed on Thursday we had a day of sunshine and the ground improved markedly. I am not aware of anyone suggesting we cancel at that stage. Once the decision to abandon was made all clubs made best efforts to contact people due to attend on Saturday and Sunday to stop them coming. The VBOA website carried the news from 3.30am Saturday. We apologise to those who were unaware of the cancellation and had a wasted journey. It is being suggested that we run the event again later in the year. This is unlikely as Billing is fully booked through August and most of September. We also have the VBOA Open Day at the Vauxhall Heritage Centre, Luton on Sunday October 7th. Although the cancellation was due to circumstances beyond our control, we are looking at how we treat with AUTOJUMBLERS and will be writing to them shortly. [/quote ]

Donna just emailed Billing to complain
and got an email back to apologise
they also said as a gesture of goodwill
they are offering credit to be used in
the next 12 months or at next years VBOA

i just called Billing and they have given me a credit note for my camping and pool pass it is for the full price not half and its for any time in the next 12 months not just September, i also asked about my camping gear they said that that was being looked into, iv also just found out my tent was taken down and put in a transit van with billing logos on it while the others where just pulled out and thrown away sounds like someone has bagged themselves and nice big tent, so get calling guys and get your credit nots,

i just phoned billing also and got a 12 month credit pass so i dont have to pay next year got a referance number to keep so at least thats something good!!

No why I left Saturday but went back on Sunday I used mine to get back on site

They told us we get nothing because we didn't hand in our passes

that dosnt make scene you would think that you would only get it if you had your pass, they just asked me for my booking ref number

i called aswell
