Replaced a cv joint and both front discs. Just got the handbrake lever to do and then onto the paint work. 2 new tyres to go on the front as well

ABS light sorted once i changed the cv joint for the correct type and as i split the balljoint rubber with the splitter a new wishbone went on as well and b@gger me if the thread didn't strip on the vertical bolt :banging: :angry-screaming: . Tightened to the specific torque, and then started on the angle and suddenly the bolt just spins with the spanner now, and my wheel vibration has returned somewhat after getting it all sorted. Now i will have to cut a hole in the passenger side just like i did in the drivers side to put in an extra long nut and bolt. I hate this car now :axed:
Am now seriously thinking of getting rid and buying a Vectra VXR to replace it.

Luckily the wishbone bolt was an easy fix  . After jacking it up to remove the bolt ready to drive a punch up the hole (ooh eerrr) i thought i would see if it would tighten, spanner on bolt, turned it and it started to tighten. Then tried the torque wrench and f@ck me it tightened up. It then dawned on me what i did last time, when putting the big bar on it to go through the angles i looked at it from above and then undid it which made the bolt loose hence i thought the bolt/nut had stripped the thread   .
Do i win numpty mechanic of the month??
