Is there any reason why they have to be this complicated? Is the 'rim' just used as strengthening for the thin and cheap steel that VDO used.

Why not just a much thicker flat disc with holes in it? Say copper or similar so that the pipes can be easily brazed in. Or even plastic.

Don't think so. I have just stripped a K reg Mk3 Astra 1.6 and it has the same tank set up as normal Cavaliers. In particular no plastic tank.

You may be right about it being for the car club. Kev did say to him about it and he told him he had forgot about it. I thought as he is quiet he might just need a push to get a quote over to you.

cant see how a repair can be "just as good" as a new one this is going on a bit long but if any armchair members want to see if they can do them charge on

So what's going on with this? I MOT'd n taxed my car 6 months ago, then the petrol leak started, tried to fix my flange twice both time it still f#ckin leaks, I have been without a car now for 6 months and it's getting annoying. Just put my last fix attempt on today then it p****s out petrol after 10 mins again, i feel like crying. I have been onto Opel in Germany, GM in US and the OPel classic car place in Germany too, no-one makes them, so this is my only option left.

Is this going to be made? I need it badly as i don't have another car.

Give Eddey Dancer a pm. as he has a spare flange that's like new or may be able to get you one from Australia. :)
