I have a set of these and work very well (other brands probably available) although im sure the garage will be able to get them off easily enough.....

Garage got them off....they hammered a smaller socket on, and with the aid of more penetrating fluid, they shifted....handy really as they cleaned the threads up as they came off

New brackets and nuts fitted, result

Put a bit of heat on the rusty nuts with a blow torch mate
that makes them come off alot easier
