I have a set of these and work very well (other brands probably available) although im sure the garage will be able to get them off easily enough.....

Garage got them off....they hammered a smaller socket on, and with the aid of more penetrating fluid, they shifted....handy really as they cleaned the threads up as they came off :)

New brackets and nuts fitted, result :)

Put a bit of heat on the rusty nuts with a blow torch mate
that makes them come off alot easier
