Who's fitted their Calibra with Remote Locking?
I been doing some Experimenting with the Door Locks recently...
I've made some good progress, with Key Operated Vectra Handles...
But I was wondering if anyone can tell me...
Is the Micro Switch activated, when a vehicle fitted with a Remote Locking Unit, is pressed on the Key Fob???

I would think that most that have this fitted it would have come with the alarm systems. All cat 1 alarms are black wired in to the cars cable harness.
The key fob will send a single to the control unit that will then send a pulse to the micro switch, bobs your uncle the door open

So your wanting to get the factory fitted alarm to work when using an after market remote locking kit?
from what I recall, the micro switch is only activated in the deadlock position...and as I have told you before in order for that to work you need to fit a slave door locking motor in the drivers door , I would think after that then the micro switch will be activated as the plastic lug on the back will go round and work the micro switch

Yes, that's the Master Plan...

I recently fitted some Vectra Door Handles on a friends Calibra...
The 'Door Locking Link' that I used on his car, now Deadlocks his car with a slight turn of the key to the left, and then springs back into the verticle position... When held slight left, this also brings the windows up as well...
The drivers side micro switch is a two function type, and the passenger side is a solo function... The Calibra Door Locking Link is a 2 Stage Locking Mechanism, but I used a Corsa Door Locking Link and it now Deadlocks in a 1 Stage motion...
So with this in mind, there might be a much easier way to do this, and I'm hoping to find that out soon, when I remove the door card from a Calibra that's already fitted with Remote Locking...
For Deadlocking to work, the Inner micro Switch just had to be activated, and not necessarily held in that position, for it to be Deadlocked...

But...
If the 'Door Locking Link' was replaced with the 'Blue One' as pictured,
it then changes the Locking Mechanism, and enables Deadlocking with
a slight turn of the key, to the left...
