Re: PVS
Never been a huge Fan of PVS for the obvious reasons, noise/smell of drugs/chavs and I think this year was prob the worst I've been to, but not because of the idiots but because of the huge lack of trade stands...I thought it was very sparse.

Re: PVS
Well to begin with I wasn't feeling exactly 100%, so can't 'really' blame Ally for the infection.
But where to start with PVS 2013??
Getting in:
Bit of a joke. I know that they can't upgrade Airfield road that leads up to Pod, but surely they could widen the roadways after the ticket gates? Five to six rows trying to blend into one is a massive bottleneck. Or build a road bridge over the far end of the strip to fill the club stands from two directions, because Pod is essentially a couple of bits of tarmac in some big fields.
The show:
Drag strip action
Blue or silver Corsas' and Astras' (VXR badge optional)
Fireforce jet car
Green drag car with big engine
Two blokes on motocrossers doing stuff I was doing on a bmx when I was twelve
Fairground (well the dodgems)
Overpriced food and drink
Shonky grandstand (would it really cost to much to put a roof on it?)
Retail village - oh haha funny. was o.k. if you'd wanted to get insurance, cleaning products, or cd's to make your stereo go whuuuub whuuuub whuuuub
Knuckle draggers in attendance
Getting out:
Well one road in, one road out, but they did cone the access road so there were two lanes to get to the gates. Got stuck behind a pikey transit billowing out blue smoke, then as I got past the public car park exit they let out a chav in a Pug 306 with his seat leant so far back he could barely see over the dash. Left a gap behind the transit going down Airfield road and sure enough..... braaaaaaaapppp I was overtaken by the aforementioned chavmobile with ***** can exhaust.
In general:
Was nice to see people again for my first show of the year and get the Calibra out for the day. It might seem like I dislike the show with what is above, but I've been going since '07 and as Callyman said on the PVS facebook page, it is what it is.
But..... I really really do think that Santa Pod as a venue is in dire need of a massive revamp, upgrade, overhaul or whatever you want to call it. Quite how it gets FIA approval for european drag meets I honestly don't know.

That grandstand is £9 a seat on the big drag meets and the FIA where set to pull out this year if the new surface hadn't of been laid.
But yes the run off area needs a tunnel (safer) and the toilets/showers needs bringing up to date.
