19" on a 30/30 lowered Calibra?

by rufsen » Wed Jul 03, 2013 10:22 pm

Hey folks - greetings from a big Calibra fan from Sweden! :)

I'm sitting here wondering about getting 19" for my Calibra. The specs I'm wondering about are 19x8 with an ET of 40-45 coupled with 215/35 tires. What do you guys think - do you know of anyone who has had 19" on their lowered Calibra with success?

Regards
//Olle

I think that would be pushing it mate.Mine is lowered 40mm and has
17 inch alloys and sometimes they rub the inner front arches.

Aha, nice! What width are those rims, 19x8"? Is it in the arches, i.e upper section of the arches, or is it the inside of the arches? When you say trim...did you cut someting out? How is it behaving going through spedd bumps etc?

Does that not weaken the strength of the wings?

I have 19" BK 299s with 215x35 boots on
Front arches are rolled and both the front and rear arch liners have been removed and the voids stone guarded - no rubbing issues

Hmmm true - on the list
not sure how big to go, Veccy 308s might not fill the gap and then there's the rears to consider
