Is the actual mechanism kaput?

It could be, that it's just the motor?

The motors working,the spiral cords are poping out the runners
the exact same way as the se6 was.

I've got a rolling turbo shell here,it's a facelift .so should be the right type, you can have it if you like, if I can have your broken one to keep it watertight
