Just a quick question what do you have to do to remove air con from the v6 to run without it?

It 'a relatively simple to do , you have to be careful when de-gassing
The main problem is that you'll need a non a/c engine mount as the a/c compressor is incorporated into the engine mount of your current mount and they are like RHS
If you want to loose the compressor then you need to fit a shorter aux belt and that fouls on the existing mount
Your only other option is to grind your mount down but that leaves it dangerously thin IMO

as Tim says the non ac engine mounts do come up every now and again. scrap yard hunts are probably your best bet, as thats how i managed to get a hold of my one :D
BETTER TO HAVE A CALIBRA AND NOT NEED ONE, THAN NEED A CALIBRA AND NOT HAVE ONE!!!

And yeah I've seen that and didn't want to try as seems allot of hassle may just get mate to fabricate one up :) as from my other posts in a different thread I'm putting the engine etc into my mk1 astra as my v6 Cali is half the size it should be as was rear ended when was parked outside the misses house
