Le turbo restore project at last getting the paint work sort

by Richiem » Sun May 11, 2014 5:52 pm

Bought no50 le turbo a couple of years back and have been creeping away at her sorting out all the jobs needed after i had found her stored away in a garage for 4 years.
Have cleaned the whole car up refitting all the brakes ect and servicing the working 4x4 but this part being the most expensive i left to last..
Looking forward to seeing the final job done :D

Yer deffo full car getting painted! Just doing the repair areas first and getting them spot on before removing the paper and prep / spraying the whole car.. Screen is out tomorrow / bumpers off and painted along with sunroof ect.
There was a lot of small dents on almost every wing/ panel as the car had been stored for so many years with all types of stuff all over it.
Probably a lot of trolley wacks in shops ect.. All trims are also being done along with wheels/ mudflaps ect.
The whole car was scratched up like someone had been at it with a dirty mop or something and this is why it took me so long to get sorted!

Ganna be making every effort Mark! Ganna be the most standard one out there from what i know. Everything on the car is how it was factory.
When i bought her she did have an eds 8.1 cooler included but decided to go back to the original stock kit as she was so close to stock already.
My last le turbo was very nice and quite far from stock and i will probably miss the power tbh ( have already noticed the difference lol)
This one hasnt been over worked on and like i think i mentioned before, she sat stored in someones garage for 4 years collection dust.
interior is really mint and even has the philips head unit and cd player in the boot. ( cd lead missing though so im stuck with tapes right now ( oh dear) lol
