I have done a few tempory rattle can repairs to the sills and rear arches to try and keep the rust to a minimum for now and I have 2 mint white wings, 2 mint doors and a mint bonet (at least the doors and bonet were the last time I looked at them in the hut )
I will be having a come and help fix my car party when I get my garage built and all is welcome
Phill.

Treated the old girl to an oil change tonight . Glad I did , when I went under the car to remove the sump plug I found that it was only hand tight ! Out of curiosity I tightened it back up - it took three full turns before it was reasonably tight ! Counting my blessings that it didn't vibrate loose on the motorway

Had a spare hour last night so went out & fitted the fuel magnets I purchased , I'll let you all know if there's any significant difference in mpg .
Id to strip off the air intake to get them onto the fuel rail , I'm glad I did tbh as I found more bodged wires ! I'd always though the car was running too rich so I replaced the Afm with one I had in my lock up for years & have to say it's made some difference to the way the car runs & drives . I just need to go to a scrapyard & cut the loom that has the intake temp sensor on it & splice it onto mine

Well further investigation at Craig's adds insult to injury ....
There's a couple of spade connectors crimped on both wires till I get the plug & loom then it'll be joined properly :-/

A wee hour of footering sees the new irmscher number plate surrounds fitted along with new number plates & also new rear leds . Freshens the car up a good bit at both ends
All the wee things add up to make the big picture better...
