Led set up, help?
Hi guys I would like to set up some led lights in the inside of my car and maybe the engine bay but I don't want them running all day, so was wondering how other people have set them up?
Thanks
Thanks
Re: Led set up, help?
I have foot well lights powered from door switches and engine bay lights on a manual switch.

How do you mean powered from door switches? sorry not done anything like this before
Re: Led set up, help?
IF you remove one of the door pillar switched (that operate the interior light) you will find it has 2 or 3 wires to the back of it.
Get a multi tester and determine which wire becomes live when the switch is activated (if door was opened)
Run your led light from that.
If you get the right wire pulling the light switch to operate interior light should also light them up.

Take out the interior light and solder onto the lamp contacts
that means any interior leds will be on a timer that goes off
a few seconds after you shut the door.
For the under bonnet leds I would take a clean circuit off the
battery,Make sure the circuit is fused and put a seperate switch
inside for it.You can buy 5 metre roll of waterproof led strip off
ebay for a few quid mate.
