My SE2

Hello everyone,
Thought I'd share pics and updated of what I'm doing with my SE2.

This is my 2nd calibra. I had a jungle green 4x4 turbo that I got in 2008.
Long story short car is gone and interior and engine are now in my Nova.

But earlier this yr I came across a SE2 on eBay for £50
No engine
No loom
No clocks
No exhaust
No wheels
No lights
No bumper
No boot
The worst interior I've seen
Badly dented wing
Very rusty bonnet
Cracked screen
Paint in poor condition

Bargain obviously!!
So I set off for my 6hr round trip to collect my £50 prize
Taking a set of wheels so I could get it onto trailer.
This is what I got

Then a fellow calibra owning mate (Diboor/pickles) gave me a heads up on a possible donna car. Which he even delivered for me.
Worked out very well as I needed so many parts.



It was a v6 auto that was over heating even on cool days. Even over heated on the short trip to mine.
But the interior was in great condition and it had all the other parts (except a redtop) that I needed.

The plan is to put the SE2 back to how she would of looked. With a redtop also.

Well after a quick mop the paint started to come up well. (Still needs more)







Parts taken off v6 and painted









Managed to acquire a set if cesaros



And got everything fitted











Bought a engine with loom, clocks, rad, exhaust, etc
And did a compression test it
Dry test Wet test
Pot 1 200psi 210psi
Pot 2 195psi 205psi
Pot 3 200psi 210psi
Pot 4 200psi 210psi



Started taking engine apart. All the fluids came out a lovely colour.



Looks like someone had some head work done at some point



All the inlets and outlets have been polished.



De greased

Tbh everything I've posted so far is months of work. Just not posted on here till now.

I do hope to have the engine hanging in car by end of weekend.
