What is best donor Saab?

by Chavtastic » Fri Oct 03, 2014 11:53 am

Right I need a B204 turbo engine for my Calibra, and the Saab aluminium wishbones (and matching anti-roll bar) to suit a Calibra as these give 2.5 degrees camber and reduce unsprung weight, which is ideal for the track.

Would I be right in thinking a Saab 900 2.0 turbo (1994-1998) would give both of these?

Would the engine mount from that car fit the Calibra? (as it's based on the same platform)

Thanks in advance

Yeah 900 or early 9-3 as it has to be pre 2001 for it be a 204 and not 205 etc

The 9-3 (2000 'W') I was under this weekend looks like it has the alloy wishbones.

Didn't do any comparisons as they are to remain in place to keep the Saab "rollable" but visually they look like a direct fit to a Calibra.

They are the puppies! Apparently you need the anti roll bar too from the Saab

Could be where the anti roll bar drop links connect to the wishbone, the locating holes may be in a slightly different place. I'll take a closer look this Saturday.
