I intend to tap the bolt holes out so there clear off paint I asked the paint shop where I got the paint from and he said it wount effect it

The lacquer is a special lacquer ( can't remember what he called it ) but he said he uses it all the time and there's no problems with peeling or colour distartion and it's good enough for a gearbox and transfer

Rich, that looks brilliant m8y, what paints have you used ? As you know my engine is near completion, well may have been a runner today except vauxhall world parts sent me the wrong timing belt.

The gear was next to be done but probably after the summer season now.

It's just primered then alloy wheel silver it has got a paint code bit not sure if it's there own code mate I did get told to buy good paint and well prep the box and transfer

I've been using an ally paint for the parts I didn't get vapour blasted........

Only got the outside done on my sump! Wouldn't trust the powder coat on the inside if it peels off it will block the pick up and bye bye engine! See proper company did mine!!! Lol

Had another good day working on the rust bucket yesterday the engines gearbox and transfer are nearly finished hopefully starting the engine bay mid next week
