Rear sub frame mount thingy Removal...Help Needed.

It's the OE bolt...m14x117 imperial thread....the head has been bead blasted at work mate.it's not cross threaded as it goes in most of the way easy.

Did it wind out easy enough?
Does the other bolt go in ok?
Does this bolt go in the other side ok?
I'd pull it back out and inspect the thread for damage.

yeh was easy to remove....the thread is clean....it seems something is not right......maybe its not lining up right..? the other side was not touched.....every thing was supported while i took the bolts out.

Can be a git to line up, wont be easy with jack on it (car weight pinching it)

it may have moved, try sticking a screwdriver (just smaller than the thickness of the screw) up through and see if you can move the subframe to line up the hole better

Not any progress on this as ive not been very well....ive been looking into bushes lol as far as i know they all fit the cally but range in price....

They seem to be either all rubber...or steel outer with rubber insert....and range from £40 to.£4.99 or there abouts...Why and what's your thoughts ?

the 2nd and 3rd sets are for the front subframe the one your looking for is the 1st one type in carlton instead of calibra its the same part but cheaper

Drop the whole frame out while u are at it mate, it's well worth doing. I did mine last winter and polybushed the rear arms whilst I was at it.

That would be the best idea but I'm scared I would not get it to go back up......and with struggling to refit one bolt god know how I would get on with the whole frame....I would have to push the car out the garage turn it around and push it back in again to vet more room to full the frame out from underneath.

I had the same problem mate in my garage, to get around the lack of room I put the rear of the car up on axle stands and lowered the frame down with a trolley jack and then unbolted both rear arms from the frame while the frame was on the ground underneath the car which meant I could bring it out in 3 pieces, stripped and painted everything then reassembled it underneath the car and raised it back into place with a trolley jack again.
