The dreaded door lining bubbled!!!
Has any one found a solution to this common problem? I'm thinking of piercing a small hole and spraying glue in!!!
Re: The dreaded door lining bubbled!!!
Everything you have and will think of has been thought of and tried.
I think i'm right in saying no one has successfully fixed them as yet.

Lol
I can't just leave it as I've always hated the sight of this problem.
I'm gonna heat up the material with the missus hairdryer, make a small hole at the end and squirt is some 3M spray glue with a straw attachment, then hold it in place with a rolling pin!
If it doesn't work I'm gonna beat the s**t out of it with the rolling pin in a Basil Fawlty style!!!

Re: The dreaded door lining bubbled!!!
Major Fail!!! Do not try this at home!!!
3M spray glue not instant enough! And heating the vinyl did indeed allow it to stretch but now its just rippled!
Neighbour who is an upholsterer has quoted me £75!
Anyone got a good one, black, drivers side for sale???

Re: The dreaded door lining bubbled!!!
That is similar to the path I was looking at:
Slit the bubbles open & stick the vinyl back, aligning it at the top & leaving a hole along the inside angle.
Create an insert to cover the hole up.
I'm not quite sure what I would use for an insert though.

Re: The dreaded door lining bubbled!!!
Would be quite easy to make a cap to fit it to be fair and all I would do is pad it out a little and cover it with the same material the door cards done in so it looks like it was ment to be there.
Re: The dreaded door lining bubbled!!!
Was thinking more like taking an old door card and cutting the arm rest off so you could curl it down the side a little then you could probably just glue it on top with some contact adhesive.

How about this? Bit too chunky maybe? Just awaiting dimensions from seller.
