My sorry looking Se2

Long time members will remember my se2 that i saved from being crushed back in 2008 and spent money on it at the time getting it back on the road and did take it to a few club meets she was never mint condition so in 2011 i thought i would take it off the road do do some work and got a bit carried away stripping it down. Things changed in my personal life so the car went on back burner. Fast forward 5 years and its still sitting in bits i don't know what to with it i am torn i don't want to scarp it as not many left but i dont really have the money to fix it either so any ideas guys on what to do

Sadly that's easier said than done. Not all of us have the time & space we need for such a project.
I do like SE2s though. I wish I had the space for one.

Update been down to my lock up and started bolting bits back on wheels etc getting her ready to roll on to the trailer so i can take her to my new lock up outside my house rather than the 3 mile drive to where she sits now.Once the car up i can start working on her will be a slow project will be getting a hand from mates since they the one's pushing me to get her back on the road. I even found a set of club mats that Steve had made up year's ago brand new still in the bag. So here we go the se2 will live again

Update time after many months of saying i will start working on my se2 it has finally started today got the call from the council on Thursday telling me a lock up outside my house had just became available did i what it well yes so i got the paper work done and got keys Friday and have spent all day today getting the se2 ready to move to its new home just meters from my house so in the pouring rain i towed it to its new home so nothing stopping me now its been a great week finally tracked down the full set up to change my se2 to 5 stud as well great news for me not so much for the se9 that died to give up its parts but hay ho so work starts tomorrow lets see how bad my bulkhead is i will be starting from the front and working my way back wards (Build start date 2010 approx Finish 2020 lol i hope not )

well 1 day of getting in about the se2 not a great deal done but i was trying to remember what went where etc its been 6 years since i started taking it apart lots of random wire's and bolts everywhere luckily i have my silver cally to use as a guide as far as rust goes i think i have lucked out bulkhead is fine no rot and underneath and engine bay only has surface rust so i save time and effort not having to take everything out general de rust and lick of paint should see engine bay looking good once again started taking a list of things i need to make/buy example brackets etc which will all be getting made from food grade stainless steel

A little update was taking a break from going back and fourth to the hospital visting so to take my mind off things i started taking the rust off the front and slam panel and treated with krust to kill any remaining rust and had a wee test fit of my new bumper a genuine plastic rieger bumper bargain only £50

Awesome, this yellow color is the best, I would paint mine this color in an instant if I had the budget or time to tear my car apart. Hope to see it back soon!

That is the biggest problem i have been having for years trying to get a perfect match for the car every yellow i try to match doesn't work so as the whole car being painted i will be changing the yellow but only by a few shades as i like the orange/yellow standard colour i don't want a bright yellow the guy at my local paint shop has mixed up an amazing shade of yellow for me called Daz Yellow lol am dying to get it on the car but i have loads more prep to do yet

My dad was a painter, he once told me that yellow is one of the hardest colours to mix right to get the right shade. Hopefully computer tech has improved that! Either way, great progress! Are those seats original?

It is calibra seats with the centres re trimmed in yellow i bought them from a former club member years ago but i am having them re done in leather rather than vinyl
