Eddey's V6 - The Ghost...
Re: Eddey's V6 - The Ghost...
PROGRESS UPDATE...
Had the car up on a hoist recently, to do an inspection...
I'm not liking the look of the 'Oil Sump Gasket' so that's going to be replaced...
Also, the NSF Drive Shaft Boot is split pretty badly, so that's a main concern for me...
I decided that it would be a better long-term investment, to just replace the whole drive shaft...
http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll ... 1086560164
Also saves on Labour Costs of having to fit a new boot, grease and clip...
Won't be long before I have all the Parts I need, then it's all going to be done at once!!!
I'm also buying another White V6 in Mint Condition, with only 80,000 Km's on it...
This one will become my Daily Drive...

Thinking of keeping this one stock, as to not draw much attention...
Might just replace the rear number plate lamps, and fit clear side indicators, both with LED's...
As well as doing the usual V6 Engine Mods, door handles and the external badges...

Re: Eddey's V6 - The Ghost...
ACTIVITY UPDATE...
On 24 June 14 @ 183,970 Km I used a bottle of this Rislone Octane Booster
I certainly felt some extra some boost, and a much smoother throttle response
Ordered the Front Brake Disk Rotors today...
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/400684558329 ... 1439.l2649
I suspect Calibra No.2 has warped Front Rotors, as they don't seem to brake as smoothly...
So these new Rotors will go on 'The Ghost' and the ones off The Ghost, will go on Calibra No.2
Not long now, before it all gets happening!!!

Thanks Guys...
Been heaps busy lately, and the last 3 months have so flown by...
Not done any work on The Ghost, just been gathering the parts needed, for both Cars...
The 2nd Calibra will be getting started on, next week when I get the hoses in the mail...
The List: Cooler Thermostat, Lower Manifold, Fuel Injectors, Metal Rocker Covers, Spark Plugs, and Upper Manifold Full Service...
It'll be running smooth as can be, at just over 80,475 kilometer = 50,004 mile

Re: Eddey's V6 - The Ghost...
ACTIVITY UPDATE: 16 NOV 14 @ 184,925 Km
After my recent issues with the Oil Sump Plug, on 'The Stocky' I was keen resolve such an issue, on 'The Ghost' ASAP...
Seeing as the fibre washers worked well on 'The Stocky' I figured I'd try them on 'The Ghost'
This time though, I decided NOT to use the rubber O-Ring... Bad idea!!!
Anyway, not a complete waste of time, as the oil was very dirty, and so due for an oil change...
I also sprayed some degreaser to the sump and surrounding areas, that needed some attention...
Looking heaps better, and some areas are now sparkling once again...
I've just ordered 3 x Lower Profile Type Round Sump Plugs $23 Posted from UK
Now, as with anything I buy for this car, I sit and wait...

ACTIVITY UPDATE: 14 DEC 14 @ 185,005 Km
The Sump Plugs finally arrived...
No time wasted, I fitted the plug right away...
From the first indications, not a drop of leaking oil in sight...
An overnight test, will reveal if it's a success or not...
